The Music After School Program offers high-quality music enrichment for deserving students from the Paterson Public Schools, taught by outstanding university music majors and supervised by music department and Paterson Public Schools faculty. Additional partners include the Paterson YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of Paterson and the New Jersey After 3 program.

Funded by the Muna and Basem Hishmeh Foundation since Fall 2009, this project provides partnership and support between the Department of Music at William Paterson University and the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music. Through this partnership the two institutions seek to increase the musicianship of their students, the pedagogical skills and awareness of their faculty, and the cultural awareness of their communities.
